CLGF members

Since the CLGF was established in 1995, some 160 organisations representing national and state ministries of local government, local governemnt associations, and individual councils, in more than 40 Commonwealth countries have taken up membership.

Membership is open to local councils, local government associations, and government ministries with responsibility for local government. Professional bodies, research institutions, and other organisations with an interest in local government can join as associate members. Only organisations in Commonwealth countries are eligible to become members.

Membership is not open to individuals, but is on an organsiational basis only. There is a yearly fee for membership.
