The Commonwealth Local Government Forum Pacific Project works with local government and other stakeholders in the Pacific region to strengthen local democracy and service delivery capacity of city and town councils.
As part of an expansion of activities, the CLGF pacific Project is seeking a qualified, energetic and diligent person to provide programme management and technical support to the Project Office based in Suva, Fiji Islands.
The person should have :
Crucially, the person must have an excellent understanding of a wider government governance framework within the Pacific region and must have worked in a senior government position in any of the CLGF member countries and have a strong management and project administration capability, and an ability to work with diverse groups of people. A good understanding or knowledge of the work of the CLGF and sub-national government in the Pacific context, and a deep knowledge of and sensitivity to the cultural diversity of the Project regional member countries would be an added advantage.
An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience, will be offered to the successful applicant.
