Exchange of experience among local government practitioners

CLGF promotes the exchange of experience and information between spheres of government and with partner organisations who work with local government to:

• promote greater understanding of local government trends
• share experience, innovation and good practice
• help member local authorities to deliver better services and governance
• develop policy recommendations..

It does this through the bi-ennial Commonwealth Local Government Conferences, symposia, workshops and meetings of senior practitioners and its major publications such as the Commonwealth Local Government Handbook..
