Relief for Dominica

09 October 2017

The hurricanes that plagued the Caribbean may no longer be front page news around the world but the damage and misery they have caused continue.

The CLGF Caribbean office, led by Project Officer Ms Sandra Singh, is serving as a liaison point between the charitable foundation from Trinidad and Tobago and Dominica’s ministries of foreign affairs and social services.

Contributions of children’s blankets, personal care packets and towels have been donated, with the volunteers going on to recruit their relatives to assist CLGF in assembling and packing the items.

The items were delivered on behalf of CLGF to the charitable foundation which provided a 5000 ton barge to transport the supplies to Dominica. Sandra Singh described the great kindness and care of the volunteers and their determination to help.

Relief efforts are continuing throughout the Caribbean.
