Job description and person specification

You will need to have a valid permit to work in Ghana.

The Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF) is looking to employ a programme officer to support the delivery of its West Africa programme. The officer will be based with the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) in Accra (Ghana).  The officer will work closely with local and central government stakeholders and project partners in the region to successfully plan, manage, monitor and implement work focused on strengthening local government, good governance, local economic development and the achievement of the SDGs. The incumbent will work closely with the project partners in Ghana, Cameroon, Sierra Leone and Nigeria and colleagues in London, with a particular focus on programming, delivery of key activities against the agreed timetable, and coordinating DFID and other donor reporting. Good project management skills, excellent relationship building, and understanding of accessing and managing donor finance are essential.
