Commonwealth Local Government Forum

Editor sought for prestigious publication

27 February 2024

An exciting opportunity has arisen to help shape academic debates on decolonisation and international relations, and policy development across the Commonwealth.
The Round Table: The Commonwealth Journal of International Affairs and Policy Studies seeks a new Editor, as from 1 January 2025.

The Round Table - founded in 1910 - is the longest-established, English-language, international relations journal, with a particular focus on the Commonwealth, and on matters relating to its 56 member states. It has long been regarded as the premier journal for analysis of Commonwealth relations and its members’ roles in international affairs. Although its core subject matter consists of politics and international relations, it also covers other disciplines as they relate to the Commonwealth and decolonisation: notably history; economics; identity, values and faith; environmental policies; development studies; area/regional studies; small states; health policies; education policies; law and legal systems; human rights including media freedom; sports policies, and arts and culture.

Role of editor

The Editor will be expected to manage a team including a deputy editor and up to four associate editors, and will be supported by the editorial board, an international advisory board, and a website editor. A generous stipend and expenses budget will be offered.

For more information on the Round Table see:

The deadline for applications is 30 April 2024.
