Representatives and members of CLGF met with Ghanas Vice-President Hon John Dramani Mahama during a recent CLGF seminar in Ghana. They informed him of the outcomes of the seminar and discussed greater cooperation on local government issues with Ghana and the region. East African Community (EAC) have agreed to set up a Local Government Forum for Eastern Africa to discuss decentralisation within the region and the challenges they face in developing strategies for strengthening local government.
