Boost for LED in the Caribbean
Local municipalities and some 500 medium and small industries in the Caribbean are set to benefit from a new programme being implemented by a partnership of CLGF with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), the Caribbean Forum of Local Government Ministers (CFLGM), and the Caribbean Association of Local Government Authorities (CALGA). CLGF calls on CHOGM to support democratic local government
Members of the CLGF Executive Committee are calling on Commonwealth Heads of Government to maintain their commitment to the Aberdeen Agenda: principles on good practice for local democracy and good governance. The Executive Committee, meeting for the first time in London on 19-10 October, also called on the Heads of Government to recognise CLGFs work in promoting local democracy, good governance and local economic development. Aurangabad hosts good practice workshop
