Join the Global Week to #ACT4SDGS

14 September 2021

CLGF is supporting the UN SDG Action Campaign to join the global movement to drive action for the Sustainable Development Goals and #Turnitaround through Global Week,  which is taking place from 17 to 28 September. You can be part of this, too. #ACT4SDGs

Driving collective action

The campaign aims to drive collective action, mobilising key stakeholders from all sectors to bring about change, while reminding world leaders that people across the globe are doing their part to accelerate progress on the SDGs. Coinciding with the high-level week of United Nations General Assembly, this year’s mobilisation will also drive action around the Food Systems Summit, pre-COP in Milan and keep up the momentum in the lead up to COP26 in Glasgow.

People around the world are joining to affirm their solidarity. Their actions will show that there is hope beyond the pandemic and that we can turn it around for a healthy, just and green recovery, keeping the promise of the SDGs in this decisive decade counting down to 2030.

Showcase the actions of your local authorities

This year, the campaign provides an opportunity to highlight local government as a critical actor, key partner and leader in acting for the SDGs, enabling local governments to showcase and bring visibility to their own actions, to mobilise action and to get more people involved in actions to support the SDGs.

To participate in the campaign, the UN SDG Action Campaign has provided some cutting edge, creative, ready-to-use, easily adaptable tools, inspiration and ideas specifically targeted at local government.

Communications tools for – four ways to get involved

  1. Plan your action - download the toolkit of SDG Actions which contains ideas and concrete actions that you can implement immediately in your organisation. It includes various communication assets, guides and easy to use campaign activations.
  2. Register your action - fill out the registration form to place your action on the global map to officially be part of the Global Week to #Act4SDGs.
  3. Spread the word - use the multimedia assets to talk about your action and inspire others to join the movement. As an organisation, you can also add your logo.
  4. Share your impact - after your activation, log back into your profile on the global map and record your results – in numbers, videos, photos or articles. Remember, each action counts towards the 100 million actions we want to achieve!
