The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is Innovation and technology for gender equality. The aim is to recognise and celebrate the women and girls who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education and curtailing the impact of the digital gender gap on widening economic and social inequalities.
These honest insights into the experiences of women are intended to inform and inspire, with the aim of increasing gender equity in our local governments. Through the hard work and tenacity of women everywhere, we celebrate the successes to date, the barriers that have been overcome, and the progress made towards embracing equity.
