Platforma awards - apply before 31st January

If you are a town, city, province or region of the European Union cooperating with at least one local or regional government from a partner country (including Africa, Asia and others); and your partnership contributes to mutual development, contributing specifically to the implementation of one or several of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - you are eligible to apply for a PLATFORMA AWARD. The deadline is: 31st January 2020.

The prize includes:

  • the production of a €15,000 video to promote your cooperation project (first prize only)free entrance to the Congress of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) in Innsbruck (Austria, 6-8 May 2020)

  • a trip to Brussels to discover the EU district and take part in 2020 edition of the European Development Days (EDD)

  • Get access to the PLATFORMA network and expertise in workshops and conferences.

 

CLGF is pleased to work closely with Platforma, a forum for national, European, and international associations of territorial communities, as well as cities and regions in the domain of cooperation and development since 2008.

 

The selection process involves members of the jury selecting three winners from among the nominees based on the themes of:

  • Local democracy

  • Active citizenship

  • Multi-stakeholder approach

  • Strategic approach

  • Development effectiveness and policy coherenceGender equality

  • Innovation and creativity
